Hamilton tickets may be impossible to get any time soon, but there are other ways to see Lin-Manual Miranda rapping.
Seeso is premiering a show based on his side improv/rap group, Freestyle Love Supreme, on June 23.
“It’s crazy to think about how long we’ve been performing as a group,” Miranda said in a release. “The number of boy bands we’ve outlived in that time is staggering! No matter what happens in each of our lives, we all come back to ‘Freestyle Love Supreme.’ It’s our touchstone, and it’s gratifying to be able to share this series anew with the world.”
Besides Miranda, original cast members include Hamilton‘s Christopher Jackson, as well as Chris Sullivan, Anthony Veneziale and Utkarsh Ambudkar. The show, taped in front of a live audience, takes fans on an improvized hip-hop musical ride.
