Lin-Manuel Miranda smashed records with his Broadway smash Hamilton. Now, the musicals maestro has turned his attention to smashing millennials in a new satirical production with his Moana collaborator Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Millennials: The Musical follows the adventures of 22-year-old Brooklynite Crystal, whose life comes unstuck when she loses her phone. Has she tried calling it? “I don’t know my number. I don’t know any numbers,” she responds.
The song and dance routines flow as our hero and her neighbor Jack hit the clubs, visit her favorite juicebar/record store/vinyl store and she meets a Facebook date who doesn’t quite match up.
