Less than a month after debuting the visuals for her song, “Gucci Gucci,” fresh face, Kreayshawn, has inked a deal with Columbia Records today, June 8. Confirmation comes a week (May 31) after Miss Info reported that the East Oakland native had signed on the dotted line for $1 milli.
But rhyming isn’t the only skill Kreayshawn has tucked under her garter belt. Kreayshawn has directed and conceptualized videos since she was 10 yrs. old. In 2009, Kreayshawn met another Oakland transplant, Lil B, through a mutual friend, DB Tha General. Quickly vibing, Kreayshawn shot videos for Lil B (“F*ck Yo Hair,” “Like a Martian,” “Insane” and “Basedworld 1989”) and hung out with the Based God when he was working on “Rain in England,” according to ‘Complex.’

Lil B took time to speak to Billboard.com’s The Juice on Kreayshawn and her success. “When you’re an artist you get what you deserve,” Lil B says. “I’m happy that she’s working for her dreams and following the world I have created. She’s definitely talented and we will see what’s in store for the future. But it’s all about Lil B and the Based God.”
