Jai Wolf made a huge name for himself on Soundcloud, and he followed it up with two dope jams on ODEZSA’s Foreign Family Collective. Now, he’s ready to walk into the sun and soak up the spotlight as he prepares to take his biggest step. His debut EP, Kindred Spirits, is set for official release on New York indie Mom + Pop Friday, Nov. 18.
He celebrates the release with the lush lead single “Like It’s Over.” It’s stunning and cinematic, with a slight fuzziness that plays rich like old-school vinyl. He warps beautiful vocals from MNDR, a voice fans will recognize from Flume‘s song “Like Water.”
“MNDR has such a raw voice,” Jai Wolf says in a press release. “When I heard her on the Flume record I instantly knew I wanted to work with her. My EP explores themes of human connections and ‘Like It’s Over’ highlights the vulnerable side of those themes, how you need someone when you’re at your lowest.”
