Leslie Hermelin has been named vice president of publicity of the Eleven Seven Label Group, the independent music company founded in 2006 by Tenth Street Entertainment CEO Allen Kovac. Hermelin will work out of the New York office and report directly to E7LG coo Steve Kline and general manager Rose Slanic.
Eleven Seven Label Group has offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, and Berlin and is also home to three sub-labels—the rock and legacy label Eleven Seven Music, the alternative and indie-leaning Five Seven and emerging hard rock-centric Better Noise Records. The music company also offers a range of integrated services including marketing, promotion, publicity, sales, digital, licensing and touring.
“As we continue to our global expansion and broaden into new musical genres, we are excited to have Leslie join the E7LG family,” said Kline in a statement to Billboard. “Her skill set, relationships and proactive approach makes her the perfect fit to lead our publicity initiatives.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Eleven Seven family,” Hermelin said in a statement. “The label’s dominance in the rock realm with our marquee imprint Eleven Seven Music is undeniable and our expansion into Alternative and Pop with Five Seven Music as well as our commitment to breaking new rock acts via Better Noise Records presents so many opportunities to tell our artists’ stories in an ever-changing media landscape.”
Hermelin was formerly director of media relations at Mute Records and director of publicity at Astralwerks Record. She previously worked for Girlie Action, Big Hassle, and Susan Blonde Inc. Artists she worked with include Halsey, Porter Robinson, Empire of the Sun, Madeon, Holy Ghost!, M83, Moby, Jose Gonzalez, Goldfrapp, Nick Cave, Erasure, The Knife, Fever Ray, Liars and British Sea Power.
