There ain’t nothing like midday summer sun. It makes you lazy, puts you in a daze. You’re happy, but you’re sweaty and you’re moving slow, and that’s kind of the vibe I get listening to Lee Burridge and Lost Desert’s track “Loopyness.” It’s all yellows and oranges with a steady beat and mirage-like synths that dance over the hazy atmosphere.
It’s definitely a peak summer groove, and as the title track for Burridge and Desert’s collaborative EP, it sets the tone for the last two tracks. “Botanic” is a mellow wave that builds slow to ride out the dance floor, and “12cc” comes in with a percussive kick to gently wake you out of your summery slumber.
