Former Clear Channel Entertainment executive VP of music group venues Patrick Leahy has resigned from that position and formed a new company, 409 Management & Consulting.
Through his new venture, the 20-year industry veteran will provide specialized managed services, strategic planning and project management in the areas of venue operations, concessions, venue planning, operational design and development, business development, special event creation and general management.
Additionally, Leahy will pursue other business opportunities and possibilities in areas outside the music industry.
Leahy was named executive VP for CCE in 2003. He came to the company as part of the SFX-orchestrated promoter/venue roll-up that acquired the Polaris Amphitheatre in Columbus, Ohio, in 1999. Leahy was also director of operations Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum Complex and assistant GM for Amphitheater Entertainment Corp. in Charlotte, N.C.
