Lauren Jauregui hasn’t been super active on social media lately, besides a few scattered photos here and there. On Thursday (April 4), the songstress popped on Instagram to apologize to her fans for her absence while she works on new music.
“Hi my loves, I miss you. I hope you’re well and hydrated and rested and happy,” she wrote alongside a natural, makeup-free photo of herself taken by fellow pop star Noah Cyrus. “y’all will forgive me for the awol energy when you finally get to hear this music.”

“I hope they can connect with it, find a little piece of themselves in it,” she told Billboard of what she wants fans to take away from her music. “My favorite thing about music is that it narrates people’s lives, whether it’s their wedding, their car rides, their dance moments, their mornings or whatever it is. If I could be one of the artists that narrates people’s lives, that’s just a win.”
Back in October, Jauregui had fans buzzing with her debut solo single, “Expectations,” which was followed in January by the sultry, confident “More Than That.” The latter’s enchanting music video told a Greek mythological tale in an all-female nightclub.
