Bilingual entertainment network LATV has picked up six new affiliates and has debuted a new live variety show as part of its national relaunch.
The Southern California-based network, which began airing on the digital spectra of Post-Newsweek stations in Texas and Florida April 23, revealed yesterday that it picked up additional stations for digital multicast: KRNV in Reno, Nev.; KYMA in Yuma/El Centro, Calif.; KVIA in El Paso, Tex.; KFDA in Amarillo, Tex.; KWES in Midland/Odessa, Tex.; and WSJP in Puerto Rico.
The new flagship variety show, the three-hour LATV Live, has begun its daily 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT run with new hosts Alexis de la Rocha, Christiann Castellanos and Guad Venegas. Music videos in English and Spanish, comedy, audience call-in and text messaging are part of the programming elements.
