Robyn got her groove on for a smooth performance of “Ever Again,” the final track from her latest album Honey, on Tuesday night’s (March 12) The Late Show.
The Swedish singer-songwriter wore a maroon leather pant suit as she swayed on the velvety-red hued stage while singing the R&B-tinged dance-pop tune. “Never gonna be brokenhearted/ Ever again/ I’m only gonna sing about love/ Ever again/ Never gonna let it happen/ Then it won’t be all for nothing,” she sang on the entrancingly funky chorus with the help of her backup singers and live band.
Robyn emoted the track’s uplifting lyrics, connecting with the studio audience as she smiled during a brief pause and said, “you know you can trust me, right?” She then gave in to the enticing 70’s-like vibe by taking off her blazer and sashaying to the beat.
