Anna Kendrick‘s musical 2015 continues!
Taking a break from the steps of the palace, the Tony- and Oscar-nominated actress stars in the movie adaptation of The Last Five Years, opposite Smash and Broadway star Jeremy Jordan — and the first trailer for the highly anticipated musical is finally here.
The show explores a five-year relationship between Jamie (Jordan) and Cathy (Kendrick). The nearly all-singing show has Cathy telling the tale of their love beginning at the end of the relationship, tracing backward, while Jamie tells the story from the beginning. They cross over in the middle, at their wedding.

The show, written by Jason Robert Brown, originally played off-Broadway in 2002 and developed a cult following. The movie adaptation will open in theaters Feb. 13, 2015 — a perfect Valentine’s date for those who have no interest in Fifty Shades of Grey.
