Fashion and music constantly come together, and there’s one rising star making sure it stays that way.
Model and dancer Larsen Thompson is the fresh face stealing runways and the spotlight on a number of your favorite artists’ music videos. At just 17 years old, there’s plenty more where that came from, and she’s letting us in on how she plans to dominate both worlds.
“I’ve focused most of my time on modeling the past two years, and have been traveling a lot for it,” she tells Billboard Style. “However, dancing is something I’ll always have, as it’s been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. So whenever I can, I jump into a class or work on a video project.”
From being dressed in Karl Lagerfeld’s finest to recently working on P!nk‘s “Beautiful Trauma” video, Thompson shows no signs of slowing down. As someone who is comfortable and confident in her skin, “modeling and dancing come pretty naturally for me,” she explains.
Her effortless star power is one-of-a-kind, and the world can’t help but notice — she even has Katy Perry’s seal of approval. “My favorite moment of this year would have to be dancing for Katy Perry in ‘Chained to the Rhythm,’” she reveals of the first visual released from Perry’s Witness album. “It was unforgettable working with someone as talented and hardworking as her.”
She might be starring in her own music videos soon enough. “I’m working really hard at my singing, so hopefully I can drop something before the year is up,” the dancer exclaims. If her voice is as good as her moves, it’s safe to say, we’re already hooked. Either way, we’re on the lookout to see what incredible project she takes on next.
