The world of Lady Gaga is expanding.
The superstar’s cosmetics brand Haus Labs teamed up with fintech company Klarna on Thursday (Mar. 25) to launch The Studio by Klarna x Haus Labs, a new Los Angeles-based creative space.
The Studio is designed to foster creativity and self-expression, much like Gaga’s music, and provides resources for emerging creators and Haus Labs. Some of the features include custom guitars and a piano from the “Stupid Love” singer’s past tours as well as interactive activities such as an “aura generator,” a pink Klarna “Smoooth” lounge, a full sound stage and a “Glam Room” for makeup prep.
While not yet open to the public, a joint mentorship program will also provide emerging creators the opportunity to develop their network, brand and content, in addition to access to the state-of-the-art facilities at the Studio and creative guidance from the Haus Labs team. The first of many creators, @Biddy and @VariJStylez, were handpicked by Gaga, Klarna and Haus Labs, and will receive a $10,000 grant from Klarna plus mentorship from the Haus network.
“As we continue to grow as a brand, we felt it was important to create a space of love and freedom that people in our community could come to and feel free to create without rules. We want to lift up the creators in our community as they continue to hone their crafts and give them the tools they need to do so,” Lady Gaga said in a press statement.
“Klarna has always sought to challenge the status quo and put creativity at the heart of everything we do as a brand and a business,” Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO of Klarma, added. “We’re excited to have collaborated with Haus to create a space that embodies both our brands’ vision for and commitment to creativity, and to provide a platform for innovative, boundary-pushing creators to elevate their artistic work and their creative businesses. Creative expression has been important to so many during the last year, and more than ever, it’s important to amplify those voices. This is something that both Haus and Klarna recognized, which made us even more passionate about finding meaningful new ways to support the creative community.”
