Never one to shy away from making a statement, Lady Gaga tweeted “Happy Mother’s Day @HillaryClinton. This country needs a mother and you’re it,” setting off a storm of political debates in the ensuing replies. Lady Gaga’s previously expressed her love for Hil on social media, committing to vote for her in the primaries and flaunting a “Yaaas, Hillary!” t-shirt at a fundraiser where she performed for Hil.
The love between the two seems mutual: Hil praised Gaga’s trailblazing career and included Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” in her International Women’s Day playlist.
