After five years together and an engagement that lasted more than a year, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have split, according to People and TMZ. The latter outlet, who first reported the news, said they called their relationship off earlier in July. Reps for Gaga and Kinney have not returned Billboard’s request for comment.
The Chicago Fire actor and the pop star/Golden Globe-winning actress got engaged after he popped the question on Valentine’s Day 2015. Earlier this year, they recreated John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic naked photoshoot on the cover of V Magazine.
Since then, the two have infrequently appeared together in public. Speaking on Kinney’s absence at the Golden Globes, Gaga said he stepped aside in order to keep the focus on her.
2016 has seen numerous other high-profile couples call it quits, from Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris to Iggy Azalea & Nick Young to Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama.
