Getting dressed up for Mother’s Day is a time-honored tradition for many — including, it seems, Lady Gaga, but with her own twist.
The star took a breather on Sunday from filming A Star Is Born (the 2018 remake of the 1937 iconic film, which stars Gaga alongside Bradley Cooper) to log quality time with mom Cynthia Germanotta — and in the most Mother Monster fashion — two quirky, très Gaga outfits.

She started with a ’70s-inspired 3.1 Phillip Lim marigold yellow bell-sleeved sweater and coordinating striped mocha brown flares from the designer’s pre-fall collection (both accented with unusual ties at the elbows and knees) topped off with a Western-style belt, a very Joanne-like felt fedora from Gladys Tamez Millinery, an Erickson Beamon choker, a pair of Roberto Cavalli shades and earrings by Jennifer Fisher.

Later that day, she kept the hat but swapped out the rest of her outfit for a skin-skimming black dress folded over at the waist to reveal a cropped knit with a rose motif by Marcelo Burlon, Sergio Rossi studded black booties and an embellished Gucci tiger bag and bow-shaped statement shades from the Italian brand’s fast-selling spring collection.
