Lady Gaga doesn’t tweet often, but on Wednesday (Oct. 16), she used her social media for a bit of shade.
It all started when popular Fortnite gamer Ninja said in an interview that he doesn’t play with female gamers, to avoid any flirtation rumors that would hinder his relationship with fellow gamer, JGhosty. “If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we’re playing with one another, and even if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever,” he told Polygon in an interview.
Gaga, an avid supporter of women’s equality tweeted out two simple, but powerful, words in response, “What’s fortnight.”
While she didn’t mention Ninja directly, the gamer replied to her tweet punnily referring to her music. “Call me on the Telephone. I’ll give you a Million Reasons to play. You and I.”

Gaga continued her succint clapbacks, asking Ninja, “who are you,” to which Ninja responded, “ask @Drake,” referring to his gaming collaborations with the rapper.

Ninja has also since explained the interview in question, noting on Twitter that his comments “got completely blown out of proportion,” and that he’s “played with multiple women since then.”
