In the mood for some heart-dripping-from-your-sleeve sentimentality? Check out this new clip for Lady Antebellum’s “Just A Kiss” from the group’s upcoming record, “Own The Night.”
Opening on a goodbye message via a well-placed iPad, the video shows young lovers Joy and Brady cavorting around Europe, falling in love over wienerschnitzel, crossing Abbey Road, and sitting on the edge of the Thames as the band belts out their bittersweet goodbye ballad.
But — and, spoiler alert — as The Notorious B.I.G. once said: It was all a dream. The clip ends with Brady startling Joy awake as he asks if he might sit next to her on the train. A coincidence? Does Joy have the ability to predict the future in her dreams? When Joy sleeps does some parallel universe spring to life, but when she awakes it dissapears, forcing us to question — as we would gazing at ourselves in a reflecting pool — whose reality is real?
We can’t be sure. But this video is sweet and will probably make you smile.
