One month after La Roux announced a North American live return, the synth-pop group has hinted that there might be some new music to support on the tour dates. The “Bulletproof” duo has posted a new snippet of music in an Instagram video, along with the caption, “And so we begin…”
Not too much can be deduced from the song tease: a dance-pop instrumental can be heard while the camera zooms in on the spinning reels, and Elly Jackson’s voice declares “Silence!” at the end. The Instragram video follows a Twitter post earlier this week of a new photo of Jackson, which contained the caption “New things.”

New music would presumably indicate the release of La Roux’s long-in-the-works sophomore album, which would follow 2009’s self-titled debut. That album spawned the Top 10 hit “Bulletproof” and earned a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2011.
