The Voice Knockouts are exactly as it sounds. Brutal. Two talented dreamers, facing off with a single chance to go forward. One slip and you’re sent home.
On Tuesday night, Team Gwen’s singers Jessie Lawrence and Kyndal Inskeep went at it for a chance at survival.
Inskeep went first. Knowing it would take something special, the 22-year-old Nashville-based artist went for a song with a high level of difficulty, Sia’s “Elastic Heart.” Only the brave would take on a Sia song, and she was rewarded with her efforts.
Mega mentor Taylor Swift worked with Inskeep in rehearsal and it showed, as the contestant earned plaudits from the panel.
Next up, Lawrence went with Sam Smith and Normai’s “Dancing With a Stranger.” It was good choice and a strong performance, but it was a pretty clear decision here.
Stefani went with Inskeep, and it was the end of the road for Lawrence. Watch below.
