Kylie Minogue took three honors and performed at the first Italian Dance Awards, held last night (Dec. 11) at the Alcatraz Club in Milan, Billboard Bulletin reports. The Australian pop singer won for best foreign dance artist, and her chart-topping track “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” won for song of the year and best video. Other winners included GiGi D’Agostino, who was named best Italian dance artist, and Alcazar, who won best new act.
The show was originally due to be staged in the seaside resort of Riccione in September but was postponed following the terrorist attacks in the U.S.
TV station Italia Uno broadcast the event. Winners were chosen by votes submitted on the Radio Dee Jay Web site.
