Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue will tour North America for the first time with a six-date trek that will begin Sept. 30 in Oakland, Calif., before ending in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Oct. 11. Bill Silva Presents will produce the trek.
Minogue, who is currently at work on her eleventh studio album, will perform on NBC’s “Today” Show May 8. Her most recent trek, “KyleX2008,” visited 21 countries and saw an estimated $70,000,000 in ticket sales.
Though Minogue is a top-selling artist globally, the singer has been less successful in the United States thus far. Her 2004 album “Body Language” sold 171,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, and her most recent U.S. release, 2007’s “X,” sold 36,000.
Tickets for Minogue’s fall tour go on sale to the general public the weekend of May 15 and will be available beginning May 7 to American Express cardholders.
