Urban/Tejano pop fusionists the Kumbia All-Starz will kick off their US tour in Odessa, Texas May 4, to be followed by dates in Arizona, Colorado and Minnesota.
Venue information was unavailable as of press time, but the band led by former Kumbia Kings frontman A.B. Quintanilla III will perform in Lubbock May 5 and in Perryton, Texas May 6.
The tour then goes to Tucson on June 7, Phoenix on June 8, and Yuma, Arizona
on June 9 before heading to Colorado Springs and Denver June 15-16. The swing lands in St. Paul, Minn. on June 17. More dates are expected to be announced.
The Kumbia All-Starz’ debut album on EMI Televisa, “From Kumbia Kings To
Kumbia All-Starz,” has sold 160,000 copies in the U.S. and Puerto Rico,
according to Nielsen SoundScan.
