When you’re on your 42nd season, you have to work hard to keep things fresh—maybe that’s why Saturday Night Live has injected recent episodes with a parade of first-time musical guests and hosts. And though she’s nearly a two-decade veteran of Hollywood, Kristen Stewart is the latest in a line of SNL first-timers.
On the February 4 episode, the Come Swim director—and star of a little-known vampire romance called Twilight—took her opportunity to mock President Trump’s apparent Stewart hatred.
“We broke up, and we got back together, and for some reason, it made Donald Trump go insane. Here’s what he tweeted: ‘Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog and will do it again—just watch. He can do much better!'”
“Now, I know what you’re thinking,” Stewart continued. “‘That’s crazy, the president tweeted about you once!’ No no no. The president tweeted about me eleven times.”
And then she read a sampling to prove it. All went well, including appearances by Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant… until Stewart accidentally dropped an excited F-bomb.
“It’s the coolest f**king—oops!” she said, clapping a hand over her mouth.
It was cute. Sorry, FCC.
Stewart’s directorial debut premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and features a score by St. Vincent.
