Five days after ex-member Kris “Rain Man” Trindl dropped his solo debut, on Monday Krewella released their first single of 2015.
“Somewhere to Run” finds Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf collaborating with Don Gilmore, who has previously worked with the likes of Linkin Park and Korn, and Scandinavian dubstep duo Pegboard Nerds.

Pairing an electro-synth lead fashioned in Daft Punk‘s image with acoustic rock drums, the track follows in the hybrid rock/electronic direction that “Say Goodbye” signaled. It’s a clear preview of what fans can expect when Krewella unveil their new live stage setup at Ultra Music Festival this weekend.
The duo first debuted the tune during their residency at Las Vegas’s Omnia nightclub last Friday night. Check out their video below:
Krewella’s “Somewhere to Run” is now available through Columbia Records, and can be pre-ordered here.
