Korn and Limp Bizkit have set a 12-city tour for next month that will see the rock/rap titans co-headlining small theater-sized venues. Dubbed the XBOX Live: Back 2 Basics Tour, the jaunt will kick off Nov. 10 in Las Vegas and hit 12 cities through a Nov. 28 finale in Toronto. Venues have not yet been confirmed.
Longtime friends, the bands have toured together often in the past, but have not accompanied one another on the road since the 1999 Family Values tour.
“We’re calling the tour Back 2 Basics, because this is the way it was in the beginning with the two of us playing small halls,” said Korn front man Jonathan Davis in a statement, adding “I’m really into Xbox.”
At every stop, one fan will get the chance to compete head-to-head with a member of Korn on an Xbox video game.
The tour will serve to promote new albums by both the bands. Korn’s “Take a Look in the Mirror” is due Nov. 25 from Epic Records, while Limp Bizkit released “Results May Vary” (Flip/Interscope) earlier this month. The latter debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 591,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
