Port Washington, N.Y.-based Koch Entertainment Distribution has added Legit Ballin Records, Real Talk Entertainment and Blank Stare Films to its exclusive North American distribution roster.
Based in Chicago, Legit Ballin is the record label Twista helped launch, and its three label compilations have featured such artists as Twista, white Boy and Chine White, among others. In January 2006, the label will release “Legit Ballin Vol. 4: Tha Truth.”
Founded in 2003, Real Talk Entertainment is based in Sacramento, Calif., and in early 2006 the label will issue albums from by Brotha Lynch Hung & Mc Eiht and Layzie Bone & Young Noble. The label has previously issued albums from Be Gee, D-Shot and Hollow Tip.
Finally, Koch has picked up Blank Stare Films, the Bloomington, Ind.-based DVD imprint operated by Secretly Canadian, whose music released are handled by Alternative Distribution Alliance. In January, Blank Stare will issue Christian music documentary “Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?” and “The Shield Around the K: The Story of K Records.”
