Koch Records is getting into the dance/electronic music business. The New York-based company has tapped music consultant Geoffrey Colon to help market and promote its first slate of dance/electronic releases.
The first release is the DJ-mixed compilation “A Night of Bad Behavior” by Bastone & Burnz (B&B). Scheduled to arrive in June, the collection–compiled and mixed by Freddy Bastone and Jeffrey Bernstein–includes original B&B productions, as well as never-before-released remixes of Norah Jones’ “Strange Transmissions,” James Brown & Hakim’s “Lela,” Heaven 17’s cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” and Gioia’s “From the Inside.” Also included is “The Devil Made Me Do It” by newcomer Ihsan. The album will be preceded by the B&B track “Horny All the Time.”
Also in the pipeline is a full-length from Gioia, formerly of dance-pop female trio Expose.
