Koch Entertainment and Alliance Entertainment have made some cost cutting moves in recent days.
Koch is downsizing its New York record label office and moving most of the staff out to its Port Washington, Long Island-based facility that houses its distribution company, sources say. As part of the move, about 10 employees have been let go or will be cut from the staff when contracts run out or projects are completed.
Meanwhile, in Coral Springs, Fla., Alliance Entertainment let go about 15 employees, including sales director George Balicky, according to sources.
As part of the layoffs, Alliance has let go practically all of the remaining Innovative Distribution Network, which will effectively shut down its independent label operation, according to executives at IDN distributed labels.
Executives at Koch and Alliance did not immediately return calls for comment.
