Andreas Klöpfel has been promoted to COO, Warner Music Central and Eastern Europe, with immediate effect. His responsibilities will expand to include business and corporate development in Hamburg, and sales and human resources for the region.
Klöpfel also continues as chief financial officer, Warner Music Central and Eastern Europe. He reports to Bernd Dopp, chairman and CEO, Warner Music Central and Eastern Europe across both roles.
Dopp said in a statement: “Andreas has been key to the successful integration of our Central and Eastern European operations. He also continues to play a major role in the development of additional revenue streams such as live, merchandising and direct-to-consumer platforms. I look forward to working with him as we build on our achievements and drive the ongoing diversification of our business.”
Klöpfel began his career in 1991 as controller at WEA Records Germany, moving to Warner Special Marketing (WSM) in 1993 and becoming controller of WSM Germany in 1994.
In 1998 he returned to WEA Records as head of the financial controlling and administration department and then took the position of chief financial officer at Warner Music Germany in 2001. In May last year Klöpfel was promoted to CFO, Warner Music Central and Eastern Europe.
