Peermusic has appointed Sam Kling as VP of A&R. He will be based in Los Angeles.
Kling was VP of BMG Music Publishing’s film and TV division. Before holding that post, he was VP of film and TV for FirstCom, a production music library acquired by BMG. He also has experience as a personal manager representing artists, producers and professional athletes.
“I believe that Sam’s diverse background and wide range of experience in the music business will bode well for our U.S. A&R department since we face a continuously expanding and changing marketplace,” says Kathy Spanberger, peermusic president of the Anglo American Region.
Kling will be working with peermusic artists and producers including Chris “Tricky” Stewart, U.K. singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner and others. He will also be signing new and emerging artists for long-term development.
