Hamilton is impossible to get into, expensive and, as of Sunday night, an 11-time Tony winner. It’s also the show that any budding musical theater star is dying to audition for. That list currently includes Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Titus Andromedon.
In keeping with most projects that Titus (actor Tituss Burgess) dives into with gusto — from penning a wonderfully erotic homage to his favorite wine (“Peeno Noir“) to staging a low-rent version of The Lion King — his rejected audition tape features Andromedon’s very thin knowledge of the show’s subject, and is not likely to land him the dream role of playing “rapping Alexander Hamilton.”
