The Kardashian-West family is in the giving spirit. Reality star Kim Kardashian — and new mother of baby boy Saint West — revealed that she will be donating 1,000 pairs of shoes to the charity Soles4Souls with husband, rapper Kanye West.

On Thursday (Dec. 10), Kim tweeted while breastfeeding and watching the show Dish Nation, where the story of 17-year-old Kansas teen, Amelia Flores, touched her heart.

“I’m up breastfeeding & watching this show Dish Nation,” she shared on her timeline. “I heard the cutest story of a girl who is trying to find 1,000 pairs of shoes to donate to this charity [Soles4Souls]! They helped her during Hurricane Katrina.”
She then joked, “I think I know the designer of Shoe of the Year Award!,” referring to ‘Ye.

Dish Nation reports that the publicity from Kim’s tweet helped Flores receive 1,000 pairs of shoes via other donations. The West family’s offering will help Flores reach her goal of 2,000 pairs. Flores took to Twitter earlier today, saying, “Yay I did something!!”
