If you’ve ever kept up with the Kardashians, you know that every year around this time, they’re preparing to take their famous family holiday photo, a full production in itself. This year, though, it seems they’ve taken a different route, opting to release a new picture from the annual photo shoot every day for the 25 days leading up to Christmas. We can always count on the Kardashian/Jenners to add dramatic flair and an element of suspense.
Shot by 25-year-old Eli Russell Linnetz — a University of Southern California graduate who previously directed Kanye West’s “Fade” music video — the clean and simple theme reveals the family barefoot and clad in light-wash denim jeans and jackets with plain white tops against a bright white background, showing only a large Christmas tree and a mountain of Kraft paper-wrapped gifts.
With Kim and Kourtney leading the pack in terms of Instagram display of the holiday snaps, we’ve gotten a glimpse of 13 images — one for each of the 13 days of December so far. Early posts featured only the two eldest sisters and their children: North, Saint, Reign, Mason and Penelope. More recent images show Kendall Jenner and the newest Kardashian addition, baby Dream, with more family members being unveiled as the days go by.
In Wednesday’s (Dec. 13) post, professional momager Kris and the reportedly pregnant Khloe come into view, but the youngest of the sisters, Kylie, has yet to make an appearance. We assume by the end of the 25 days, the full family photo will be revealed featuring every member of the famously large clan.
The family’s hit E! reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians is currently airing its 14th season after celebrating its 10th anniversary earlier this year, and recently signed a renewal deal that runs through 2020. Head over to Instagram to see all the photos.
