It doesn’t matter what you’re doing. When this hook hits, it’ll be all-ears on Kill Paris.
“Red Lights” is the kind of tune that demands attention. It starts innocently, with a warped intro and a simple melody. Singer Dotter hooks you with her bright, coy vocals. A disco groove bubbles, and then the music drops, to better annunciate the hook that comes barrelling in like a freight train.
“It was a really seamless experience working with Dotter for ‘Red Lights,'” Kill Paris says in an emailed statement. “Her voice is so versatile, and I think our creative skills balance each other very well. We wanted to create a song that had an ‘end of summer’ vibe, and I think the final result is a song that we are both proud of and excited for.”
The hook’s strutting bass is the perfect co-star to Dotter’s performance. “Red Lights” is one to put on when you’re ready to blow up the dance floor. It’s out everywhere on Lowly Palace, and you can listen to it below. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.
