Bernie Sanders has sparked a celebrity friendship we never knew we needed.
Kid Cudi attended the Democratic presidential hopeful’s rally in Los Angeles on Sunday (Mar. 1), where he met Sarah Silverman, one of the event’s special guests.
The rapper took to Twitter to share an adorable photo smiling with the comedian, writing “so great meeting you!!!” alongside a red heart and hugging face emoji. Silverman retweeted the selfie, affectionately naming Cudi her “nephew.”

Though Cudi didn’t share any Bernie-related content during the rally, he has previously supported the candidate’s stance on legalizing marijuana.
“Yeaaaa Bernie!!” he replied to one of Sanders’ tweets in October, calling the federal government “idiotic” for considering “marijuana as dangerous as heroin.”
