“Young Dumb and Broke” singer Khalid may still be fresh-faced, but he is neither stupid nor poor. He’s a big-time music celebrity with five nominations at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, and he’s got a new song coming out with Martin Garrix.
Khalid opened up to Billboard hosts during the official live nomination stream. He’s no stranger to dance crossover hits. His single “Silence” with Marshmello was a top 30 hit on the Hot 100. He can’t tell us when this new dance tune will see light of day, but he does say it’s coming soon, along with a batch of new material currently in the works.
“There is tons of new music,” Khalid promises. “I’m in the studio working very very very hard, and we will see.”
