An unlikely dynamic duo has teamed up to support transgender equality after Trump’s announcement that transgender individuals will be banned from U.S. military service: Kesha and George Takei.
The two have partnered with GLAAD to promote a T-shirt sold on the website Omaze, with each purchase benefiting the organization and supporting “justice, inclusion and acceptance for the brave heroes fighting every day for our freedom,” according to the shirt’s description.
“I’m so excited to share that George Takei and I have teamed up with GLAAD to spread the love and support transgender people in the military,” the “Praying” singer wrote in an Instagram caption Monday (July 31). “We’re all human, so let’s stand up for each other.”

“This is not okay. We must stand on the right side of history. Let’s come together in support of the brave and honorable individuals serving in the military — ALL of them,” Takei wrote on the Omaze website. “These courageous Americans not only make the U.S. stronger, they make all of US stronger.”
