Kenny Chesney, who recently released his new album The Big Revival, stopped by Conan last night to play his latest hit, “American Kids.” Watch the video below:
“American Kids” peaked at No. 23 on the Hot 100, and it’s currently No. 3 on Hot Country Songs. Chesney has always been a laid-back singer, and this song is perfectly suited to his style. Written by three of Nashville’s top songwriters — Rodney Clawson, Luke Laird, and Shane McAnally — “American Kids” is a breezy tune with a hand-clap beat and a joyful chorus, “A little messed up but we’re all alright.”
