Months before dropping To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar appeared on The Colbert Report and premiered an untitled track. Since then, it hasn’t been heard. Now it turns out that if you want to hear the song, you’ll have to refer back to that Colbert performance.
To Pimp A Butterfly producer Terrace Martin opened up about the tune to Complex, explaining that the song was written for that performance and intended to create “just a moment.”
“It don’t even exist nowhere in the world, except on The Colbert Report,” Martin added.
