Ken Jeong lived up to the name of his old starring role of Dr. Ken. During a comedy routine at the Stand Up Live Comedy Club in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday night (May 5), Jeong jumped offstage to help a woman who had suffered a seizure.
Jeong — a former physician who obtained his MD back in the ‘90s — was initially under the impression the woman was a heckler, according to TMZ. But once the audience made clear she was suffering a medical emergency, Jeong hopped off stage to attend to her.
With the fortuitous help of an EMT in the audience, the woman eventually recovered and was taken away by ambulance, and Jeong finished his set without incident. All in all, it would seem that paging Dr. Ken did some real-life good this weekend.

@kenjeong at Stand Up Live! A woman had a medical emergency during the show. Ken thinks its heckling, when people are asking for his help. He jumps off stage to assist. An EMT helped, too. Then on with the show! Great night! He is gracious and grateful…AND flipping funny! pic.twitter.com/G0nMWb5wMM
