Kelsea Ballerini will support her fellow women by performing at this year’s Gracie Awards, Billboard has exclusively learned.
The Grammy nominee will be taking the stage as a musical guest alongside presenters Nick Offerman, Jon Cryer, Shaun Robinson, Erica Hill and Toni Trucks. The Gracies, presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF), is an annual event honoring achievement and programming for and about women.
“As a songwriter and artist, I’m continuing to learn to be a woman in media by watching some of my favorite artists, TV anchors and other strong and empowered women in the media,” Ballerini said in a statement. “I’m so honored to be a part of an event recognizing them.”
Ballerini earned her fourth No. 1 song on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart back in February when “Legends” topped the tally. The singer collected her first Country Airplay No. 1 in July 2015 with her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It.” The song made Ballerini the first woman to top the tally with a launch format single since Carrie Underwood, whose “Jesus, Take the Wheel” led the chart dated Jan. 21, 2006.
The 43rd Annual Gracie Awards will take place on May 22 at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
The newly announced talent will join Rita Moreno, being presented this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award by Norman Lear, and host Lisa Joyner.
