Kelsea Ballerini has split with manager Fletcher Foster and his company Iconic Entertainment, with whom she launched her career.
MusicRow first reported the news.
Ballerini signed with Iconic Entertainment in 2015 before releasing her debut album, The First Time, later that year on Black River Entertainment. She worked with Foster throughout her quick rise to country superstardom, which has included four No. 1 tracks on the Country Airplay chart. Her 2017 album, Unapologetically, peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Ballerini has not yet announced who her new manager will be.
Foster was named on Billboard’s 2017 Country Power Players List and speaking to Billboard last year ahead of the Grammys (where Ballerini was nominated for best new artist) he compared the singer’s success to that of the Dixie Chicks in the 1990s. “At some point something different is going to come into the landscape, and when it does, it pops really, really big,” he said. “We were able to really take advantage of being the female that works amid a very crowded male format.”
