Congratulations are in order for Kelly Rowland and her husband Tim Weatherspoon, who welcomed their second child together.
The Destiny’s Child alum took to social media on Saturday (Jan. 30) to announce the birth of the couple’s new baby son, Noah Jon Weatherspoon.
“On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon greeted us!” the singer captioned a cute photo of her newborn spending time with his older brother, 6-year-old Titan. “We are truly grateful!”
Rowland, 39, noted that Noah Jon was born on Jan. 21 at 8:13 p.m., measuring 19 inches and weighing seven pounds, eight ounces.
The singer announced her second pregnancy last October in a cover story for Women’s Health. In the article, she opened up about getting pregnant during the pandemic.
“We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens,'” she said of trying for a second baby with Weatherspoon. “I was thinking, ‘Oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed…’ They wanted an album first, but they got a baby! And I was like, ‘I have to figure this out so they get both.’”
Rowland also admitted to feeling a bit trepidatious about sharing the news with the world during such uncertain times.
“You still want to remind people that life is important,” the singer said, adding, “And being able to have a child…I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.”
In the months following her happy announcement, Rowland flaunted her growing baby bump in numerous photos on social media, including a gorgeous one of herself in a sparkly bikini.
