Kelly Rowland is returning to television.
The former X Factor judge will star in Chasing Destiny for BET, a reality competition series looking for the next singing sensation. The show is billed as a “multiplatform search” so expect some sort of social media tie-in.
Brandy is also returning to the small screen. BET also announced it has picked up Zoe Moon, a scripted comedy about ” a newly divorced single mom embarking on her new life and career as a fledgling cosmetics mogul — but it won’t be easy. Her ex-husband is not ready to take a back seat in her life, nor is her precocious 10 year-old son ready for her new dating life,” according to BET’s description.
Brandy, of course, starred on the ’90s UPN sitcom Moesha. Later this month she’ll star as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.
