The wait is over. On Thursday morning (April 14), Kelly Clarkson announced the birth of her son, Remington Alexander Blackstock.

Her second child with husband Brandon Blackstock was born Tuesday, and Clarkson is over the moon. “He is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!” she wrote.

Clarkson kept busy during her second pregnancy, touring the nation and bringing the “American Idol” audience to tears just two weeks ago when she sang an emotional, moving version of “Piece by Piece,” a song she wrote while pregnant with her first child about her absent father.
