Red Nose Day is just around the corner, with the biggest names in entertainment coming together to raise money and awareness to end child poverty. Kelly Clarkson is immersing herself in this year’s movement, and she celebrated the occasion with a little Q&A.
In the two-minute clip, Clarkson reveals her favorite nose (Barbra Streisand’s) and her favorite smell: “My favorite smell is vanilla because I love desserts.”
She even talked about her first school pictures, when she fell off a trampoline the day before into a “fire ant pit,” bruising and scratching her swollen nose.
NBC’s fourth annual Red Nose Day takes place Thursday, May 24 at 10 p.m. EST/PST. The three-hour broadcast, hosted by comedian Chris Hardwick, will air live from Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Red noses will be on sale at Walgreens nationwide leading up to the day. The whole event is organized by Comic Relief USA, a non-profit that is built on the idea that entertainment has the power to drive positive change. Since launching in 2015, Red Nose Day has raised over $100 million.
