In October 2014, Ke$ha’s phsycial, verbal and sexual abuse allegations against renowned producer Dr. Luke became the talk of the music industry, especially when the Kemosabe Record label founder countersued for defamation and breach of contract. Today (Feb. 19) is the court hearing for the ongoing lawsuit, and the “Tik Tok” hitmaker took to Instagram yesterday in a particularly vulnerable post.

“I did this because the truth was eating away my soul and killing me from the inside,” Kesha wrote in the post. “This is not just for me. This is for every woman, every human who has ever been abused. Sexually. Emotionally. Mentally. I had to tell the truth. So the outcome will be what it will be.”
