“Glowed Up” debuted Thursday (April 7) on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, with the official video dropping soon after. It plays out like two songs in one as it switches from smooth hip-hop beats with woozy electronic effects to a soulful bass and drum section at the end.

The video features hazy purple scenes of Kaytranada venturing through strange events of a party, as he goes from waking up in an empty room with a cat to attempting to chow down a stack of sandwiches on a colorful florescent dance floor. Throughout the video .Paak appears on a retro fuzzed television screen as he carries out a melodic wave of both rapped and sung verses.
Kaytranada also announced a tour that will begin next month, topping it off with a performance at New York’s first Panorama Music Festival in July.
