Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” music video has racked up nearly 40 million views on YouTube, but not everyone is watching the clip and finding no fault with it.
A Change,org petition has gone live asking for Perry’s newest video to be either taken down or altered due to “blasphemy,” it says.
“At 01:15 into the video Dark Horse; a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word ‘Allah’, which is the arabic word for God,” the petition states. “Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of God) engulfs the believer and the word God in flames.”
The petition goes on to say that it was created “so that people from different walks of life, different religions and from different parts of the world, agree that the video promotes blasphemy, using the name of God in an irrelevant and distasteful manner would be considered inappropriate by any religion.”

However, the petition has since been closed, though it garnered over 60,000 signatures before its end.
Perry’s camp has not yet responded to the accusation made by the petition.
Despite its video’s premiere, “Dark Horse” dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 this week on the Hot 100 after a multiple-week reign, losing out this week to Pharrell’s “Happy.”
